Charles Nelson Satterfield

Named by the Science Studies Unit of the University of Leiden, the Netherlands, in 1987 as one of the 20 "top scientists" in the world in chemical engineering and one of three in the U.S. A.I.Ch.E Wilhelm award, for contributions to chemical reaction engineering, 1980. Named Lecturer, keynote speaker, etc. at numerous meetings in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. Member or chairman of numerous government advisory panels, particularly on military matters ca 1950-1965; environmental issues, 1970-1980. Member of editorial boards of several professional journals.
