Carol C. Nadelson

Former Director, Office for Women?s Careers; Professor of Psychiatry. Served as the first woman President of American Psychiatric Association and first woman editor-in-chief and C.E.O of the American Psychiatric Press, Inc. A Harvard Medical School psychiatrist, she advanced the cause of women?s health and mental health, and at Brigham and Women?s Hospital she has promoted academic medical careers for women and has had major influence in medicine and psychiatry as a mentor . Received many honors and awards nationally and internationally including honorary DSc from Brooklyn College. Prolific author of books and scientific papers primarily in Psychiatry and Women's Health
