Brad Inwood

Inwood has an international reputation for his work on later ancient philosophy, especially Stoicism and Seneca. His two books on Seneca have set the gold standard for work on this Roman thinker at a time when Seneca, after years of neglect, has become a major talking point both in the academy and in popular culture. As an author and editor of books on Stoicism, Inwood has been equally influential and trendsetting, and as editor of the leading journal Oxford Studies in Ancient Philosophy, he enabled the best of the younger scholars to get their work into print.
