Betsy Super

Betsy Super is Director for American Institutions, Society and the Public Good. In this capacity she leads a portfolio of projects including advancing initiatives from the Our Common Purpose report, the Commission on Reimagining Our Economy, and Making Justice Accessible.

Betsy came to the Academy from the Partnership for Public Service’s Center for Presidential Transition, the premier source of nonpartisan resources and expertise for presidential transitions. Prior to the Partnership, Betsy worked at the American Political Science Association for over a decade including five years as Deputy Director.

Early in her career, Betsy worked for national, state and local political campaigns. She holds a PhD in Politics from the University of Edinburgh and BA in Government from Dartmouth College.
