Her research focuses on diverse aspects of protein chemistry. Integrated approaches involving synthesis, spectroscopy, enzymology, and molecular biology have provided new insights into the specificity and structural consequences of protein glycosylation and have led to the rational design of polypeptides with well-defined structures and novel functionalities.
