Azza M.H. El Kholy
Professor Azza El Kholy, Chair of the department of English at Alexandria University, was executive director of The TAFL (Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language) Center and director of the Language and Translation Unit at the Faculty of Arts of Alexandria University.
As the leader of academic and research activities of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), the new Library of Alexandria, she supervised multiple research institutes, established the EdX program, and organized a number of new online courses. She has also been involved in many public affairs activities, and she helped start and lead the first Peace Studies Institute in the Arab World. Her academic and research interests include feminist criticism, women’s issues, 19th century American literature, translation, and peace and conflict studies.
