Ann Temkin is the Marie-Josée and Henry Kravis Chief Curator of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art, a position to which she was named in 2008. Prior to that she was the Blanchette Hooker Rockefeller Curator of Painting and Sculpture. From 1990-2003 she was the Muriel and Philip Berman Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. A noted scholar of modern and contemporary art, Temkin is known for her rigorous approach to gallery installation as well as a deep commitment to connecting art and audiences. Among her many exhibition catalogues are monographs on Constantin Brancusi, Barnett Newman, Alice Neel, Robert Gober, Picasso Sculpture, and Donald Judd.
