Amnon Aharony
Professor Amnon Aharony is a Professor Emeritus of Physics at Ben Gurion University and Tel Aviv University. He has also held visiting and research positions at Cornell University, Harvard University, Bell Laboratories, University of California San Diego, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University, University of Tokyo, and International Institute of Physics. His research interests include, Mesoscopic physics, Nanotechnology, Spintronics, Quantum information, Statistical physics, Random Systems, Percolation, Fractals, and Magnetism. His work has led to awards such as the Rothschild Prize, Weizman Prize, Landau Prize, Randers Prize, and Humboldt-Meitner Prize. In addition, he is a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Institute of Physics, UK, Norwegian Royal Academy for Sciences, European Academy of Arts, Sciences and Humanities, Norwegian Academy for Sciences and Letters, and American Physical Society.
