Alison Franklin is the Chief Communications Officer at the Academy. She has 30 years of experience as a communications professional in academia, government, politics, and the nonprofit sector.
Prior to joining the Academy staff in 2017, she was the Director of Communications at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University for six years. Previously, she led communications at City Year, a national service organization. Her experience in the public sector includes four years as an analyst on the Massachusetts Senate Ways and Means Committee, six years as communications director and press secretary for the Massachusetts Senate President, and campaign work in California and Massachusetts.
