My main interest is in the computational aspects of statistical inference in problems where both the
data and the mathematical models are noisy and/or incomplete. This includes sampling algorithms,
data assimilation and filtering, noise modeling, and aspects of statistical mechanics. The
applications include geophysical fluid mechanics, neuroscience, and turbulence modeling.
