International Honorary Member
Group leader at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge University. Works at the interface of chemistry and biology studying structure, activity, folding and design of proteins using a wide range of biophysical methods on engineered mutants. His current main activities are analyzing the pathway of protein folding and the possible role of molecular chaperones, protein design (based on evolving new enzyme activities), and the structural basis of the failure of tumor suppressors in cancer.
