Understanding Public Attitudes and Engagement with Science

Philadelphia-based members gathered for a roundtable discussion of the findings and recommendations from the Academy's Public Face of Science Initiative. Members of the project steering committee shared what they have learned about how Americans perceive science and engage with science and facilitated an open discussion on how these insights impact the practice of science communication and engagement. Members were encouraged to bring a colleague or postdoc with interest in the topic to help the project expand its reach.
