Knowing how to Google something doesn't make us search experts; there's much more we can do to access the massive collective knowledge available online. The San Diego Program Committee invited Academy members and guests to the UCSD Faculty Club for a dessert reception and talk by Daniel M. Russell—Senior Research Scientist for Search Quality and User Happiness at Google. Russell discussed his new book The Joy of Search and shared essential tools for effective and rewarding online searches.
