Brown University and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences convened a panel discussion on innovative science-based solutions to the opioid crisis.
Brown University President Christina Paxson and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse offered opening remarks and shared their thoughts on the urgent topic. Michael Botticelli, former director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, gave the keynote and moderated a panel discussion. The panel included the two principal investigators for a new $11.8 M Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) on Opioids and Overdose.
