Measuring What Matters: Connecting Economic Prosperity with Household Well-being

On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in partnership with the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, will host an in-person event highlighting the CORE Score, created by the Academy’s Commission on Reimagining Our Economy. The Score is a measure of American wellbeing drawn from 11 indicators across four categories: economic security, economic opportunity, health, and political efficacy. The goal of the Score is to measure how Americans are doing in areas including economic mobility and access to healthcare.

This event is an opportunity for connection between Academy members from all fields and disciplines and the Federal Reserve community, which includes leaders from academia, research, community development, and business. A social reception will follow.
