Climate Action Discussion and Member Reception

Join us at a meeting of Bay Area-based members for an opportunity to learn about and discuss the Academy’s Commission on Accelerating Climate Action with one of its cochairs, Christopher Field (Stanford), and to connect with fellow members.  Since September 2021, the Commission has been working to identify interdisciplinary and targeted actions, focused on justice and accountability, that, if taken, would alter the trajectory of U.S. action on climate change. As we look forward to releasing the final report and slate of recommendations this fall, our priority is to ensure that this work has the greatest possible impact, and we welcome your input.  We hope you will take part in the conversation, where your insights and suggestions on methods of outreach and strategies for implementation would be valued.
