Chicago and its Institutions: What is Our Responsibility to the City?

The American Academy of Arts and Sciences’ Chicago Program Committee invites you and a guest to join Academy members for a conversation on the role and responsibility of Chicago’s institutions, featuring President Paul Alivisatos (University of Chicago) and President Michael Schill (Northwestern University). Andrea Sáenz, President and CEO of the Chicago Community Trust, will moderate this forward-thinking conversation on what we should ask of universities, the city, and ourselves to ensure a more equitable future for Chicago and its people.    

This in-person gathering will also be an opportunity for the Academy’s Chicago community to celebrate and connect after so many years apart. A reception will follow the panel discussion.
