Academy members are leaders in the arts and sciences, business, philanthropy, and public affairs. Based across the United States and around the world, they have been elected for exceptional contributions in their fields and professions.

The Academy provides many opportunities for members to engage, learn, and contribute:

INVOLVEMENT
Participate in Elections
There are many ways for members to be involved in the election process. Members may submit nominations, vote for candidates, and serve on selection panels.
Read the Member Guide
The member guide explains the ways in which members can connect to one another and the Academy.
Connect Locally
A national network of Local Committees and Representatives provides opportunities for our members to connect with the work of the Academy and with each other at the local level. Is there one near you?
Attend an Event
The Academy holds events around the country and the globe. These gatherings bring together members and others in their communities to explore important topics through an interdisciplinary lens that draws on the Academy’s breadth and expertise.
Contribute to Dædalus
Each issue of the Academy’s journal, Dædalus, explores a theme from a multidisciplinary perspective in essays written by Academy members and other experts. Interested in proposing a topic for Dædalus? Contact the journal’s Editor in Chief to learn more.

Academy members can play a vital role in disseminating our work to policymakers; the media; leaders in higher education, nonprofits, business, and philanthropy; scholars; and students.
